I just looked again at usfm2osis.py

There is already some code within the script designed to process the tags
\ca and \va 

The questions might be:

1. What does osis2mod do with the processed OSIS thereby generated ?
2. Does SWORD do anything with the outcome of Q1 ?
3. Ditto for JSword ?
