I've had a number of e-mails with Rick Meyer (author of the VB + Ms-Access +
e-Sword). Like many of the people on this list, he is "an interesting
person" :-)

At any rate, he helped me write a VB script and C++ COM program to use a
customized e-sword.dot to access verses from e-Sword. The MS-Access files
are (weakly) password protected, but he does provide for legitimate COM
access. He (and/or his program) might be a resource that would respond
positively to an appropriate request for assistance. :-)
