OK, I can do that easily enough ... there, done :) Can't test that
without actually pointing DNS to it, since it is a virtualhost, but it
should be fine.

Agreed. Sounds like more work than it is worth for a 24 hour outage.

Right; it's possible I can get my work to do this permanently for
crosswire.org as well, if we get to the point where that is needed, I'll
ask. DNS for two domains I don't even need to ask about, it's tiny :)
You can also ask your new colo provider if they offer secondary MX, and
if they do, whether they charge for it.

No, I think we're all set! The root nameservers haven't changed over to
point to my DNS servers yet for crosswire.org, but no rush, I'll recheck
in the morning. whois crosswire.org has already updated successfully to
show the new DNS servers.
