Hey guys. I have been planning to relocate our server for quite some
time because of the issues we've been having with our current hosting
facility. Below is the email I would like to send our provider. Their
current contract offering is attached. It is double our current rate
and includes a transfer limit of 1GB/day. This data limit is about 1/15
of what we actually do just via FTP for our installers. I have
solicited pricing from other vendors and will chose one for relocation
next week... unless anyone has any input to the contrary.

Dear Allison,
I have recovered from a busy end of year and finished holidays with my
family here in Phoenix. I will be here the rest of this week and then
next. I would like to finalize our situation with co-location.
Let me be frank.
I am not happy with Extreme Internet, starting about 8 months ago.
It all started with the mishap when Extreme Internet began blocking
entire countries from our server stating that they were blocking
malicious attacks. We are a Bible Society and provide language
resources to countries all over the world. This took many months to
resolve.
The next mishap began with the move of our equipment to a new downtown
facility. Extreme Internet told us a specific date our server would
move and we informed our partners and community of the downtime. We
waited and were available for a call from Extreme Internet on the date
given so we could shutdown our server that day... and the next... and
the next... only to have our server finally cold powered without warning
three days later.
The final failure of acceptable business practices was the decrease of
our bandwidth to unusable level after the move.
We tried to resolve this issue before critical business meeting with our
partners using our server for their projects. Extremezone new about
these meetings. We had to agree to DOUBLE our monthly bill rate to even
get a pledge to resolve this issue so that our business meetings and
demos might be successful. I consider this equal to holding our servers
hostage for increased payment.
After reviewing your current contract, I am not convinced that Extreme
Internet has our best interests at heart. I believe they no longer
support our mission statement and are no longer offering us even a
competitive rate and service, much less a favorable offering because
they believe in what we do.
If you would like the opportunity to answer these concerns, I would be
happy to listen; otherwise, we have solicited offers for alternative
hosting and would like to relocation our server from your facilities.
