Hey guys. What's the deal on this stuff? Was there any consensus on
what we should do?

Hi Troy

Would you be able to grant me rights for doing the following on the
crosswire.org <http://crosswire.org> server?

- Crucible was partially installed by DM but will need a redirection in
Apache HTTPD so that it can be accessed from the outside world? I have
the rules to put in, so it would be good if I could do this.
- I have agreed with DM to install a plugin (Greenhopper) into JIRA
(which sits in Tomcat). That is literally adding a jar file to the JIRA
home directory
- I would like to install Hudson (agreed with DM) on Tomcat
(http://wiki.hudson-ci.org/display/HUDSON/Tomcat) for continous
integration. The instructions are fairly straight forward. You may also
benefit from that if you need continous integration on your Sword project?
- DM and I agreed to install Nexus into Tomcat to have the JSword
binaries stored in there for use by other projects
(http://www.sonatype.com/books/nexus-book/reference/install-sect-as-a-war.html)

I wouldn't do everything in one go, but rather do something, check
things are working and progress on.

For Hudson and Nexus, I expect I will need two new users for them, so
that they can write and read files from their home directories (hudson
for the build process and nexus for storing the maven artefacts). I use
both of those tools at work and they very stable.

Chris

    Hi DM

Here's the hudson war. I upgraded Hudson at work today and that was
just a case of swapping the war file in and out. Not sure about an
installation from scratch, but I expect it will be pretty easy...

For some instructions and other install options:

It will need special permissions though as it downloads things and
    builds, etc.

Chris,
I've been distracted by work and preparing for Christmas. :)

I'm heading out this weekend for an extended family Christmas holiday. I
probably won't have good internet connectivity. So I don't expect to be
able to move on these things before I get back.

I'll be back on the 28th but being a red-eye flight it'll take a day to
recover. Hopefully, I'll be able to get to these things that week.

It's fine with me for you to just go ahead with any of this. Just get
Troy to open up permissions for you.

Merry Christmas!!!!

In Him,
   DM
