Once we have a patch I can just rebuild. Current Rawhide is getting ready
for the Fedora 29 branch. 28 either just released or is coming out any day
now.

Based on the crossing stream message on this same thread, it looks like
autotools and CMake can be updated to detect this and add the necessary
preprocessor macro by doing a version compare.
