[sword-devel] Back conversion

Dear Tom,
Round trip back conversion is seriously disparaged.
For modules having few OSIS features, being mostly plain text content, mod2imp followed by imp2vs may get you a module that should be the same as you started with.
There's no guarantee.
However, the moment you have a module with any complex features, none of the combined pairs of "analysis tool" plus "module creation tool" will ever give you an identical module.
Disparaged more than all other possible pairs is the round trip of mod2osis followed by osis2mod.
Development support for mod2osis ceased several years ago.
In any case, the way we operate as a Society, there is rarely a need for back conversion.
Best regards,
David
