 Hi Troy,

I ran the portable BibleCS at school. Generally, it works very well. One major problem: Install Manager requires administrator privileges. So I can't use it on the school computers. Not good for a portable app.

More minor is that I now have two separate SWORD installations on my flash drive. I've been using BPBible ever since they came out with the portable app. It would be nice to limit the duplication.

Peace,

David

Hey Jon,

Thanks for the question. Well, I've posted a few release candidates at
the usual place and asked for feedback but hadn't gotten any. There are
some significant improvements in that RC, including the ability for the
included InstallManager.exe standalone app to migrate modules to the new
preferred default location so they can be shared among multiple Windows
frontends, and yet still retain the ability to build a self-contained
portable folder which works, as well.

So, not just av11n fixes in the waiting.

But I dread building windows installers. I have to relearn it every
time. And I think there were a few things to still polish up before
release. But mostly, it's just a lack of fortitude on my part.

Source is committed in the BCB5 branch of the biblecs repo.
