Just a quick update, as promised. Since Martin put And Bible in the 
Amazon Appstore, it's available for download on the Kindle Fire, out of 
the box. There aren't any problems or issues that I can see, after some 
brief testing, and it's a good deal zippier on the Fire than on my old 
gTablet running CM7.
