General is merely the antonym of Particular.
Think : Two kinds of Baptists.

The other two columns are particular to modules and user software.

One could move column 1 to column 3 and rename it "Other News", but it
hardly adds to the clarity.

Maybe we should add column 4 for "Pedantic News" ;>}  (I jest!)
