NRSV is actually a little closer.
Your Bible has 4 variances from the KJV v11n, only two from the NRSV.

1Kgs.22.54 is common in Vulgate-based v11ns.
I'm not familiar with any v11n using 1Sam.20.43.

I would recommend using the NRSV v11n in this case.
