There is no plain reference to the wiki on the front page.  Is there a
reason why not?

References to chat offering a mibbit web interface don't work, because
mibbit has failed to remain acceptable to freenode.  Freenode has banned
mibbit, and instead offers its own web interface.  Xiphos will use this
for our Help->Chat connection in our next release, e.g.
