I think this is a good choise.
I have four Macs and all are still working. The PowerBook which my  
wife uses now got some problems with the Alloy where the hands often  
touch it. I guess because of the acid of the skin. Otherwise none of  
them have had a single problem.
PowerMac G4 (8 years old, still running)
iBook G4 (4 years old)
PowerBook G4 (4 years old)
MacBook Pro (2 years old)
