The warning messages are just that: warning messages, not errors.
And they indicate what they say literally: that the specified VERSE is
not well-formed. OSIS doesn't require that verses be well-formed. If it
did, there would be no milestone version of the verse element. But Sword
will work best and most predictably if verses are well-formed.
When you use the milestone version of the verse element, there is a good
chance of crossing verse boundaries with container elements, which will
result in verses that are not well-formed.
The warning basically points out that some frontends may not render what
you expect to see, because they don't necessarily know how to interpret
or process content crossing verse boundaries.
DM would have to tell you what the specific numbers mean. I would guess
they indicate something about the type or quantity of unbalanced tags
present within a verse.
