Lynn,
 I think you should continue with the installer. InnoSetup is just a
possible option.
 As far as the shared repository goes I believe that is probably going to be
the responsibility of advanced users.
 Although it might not be a bad idea to write an application that is
designed to help configure, and maintain shared repositories.
