SWORD source repositories are slowly coming back online with a new 
versioning system: Subversion.

SVN is poised to be the OSS replacement for CVS.  Information regarding 
SVN may be found here:

SWORD repository URL is:

https://crosswire.org/svn/sword/


SVN command set is very similar to CVS.  An initial checkout command 
line would look like:

svn co https://crosswire.org/svn/sword/trunk sword
