Sam,

I think the maps are a good idea. Earlier I said, "stick around." I don't
know what I was thinking, there is no need to wait until png support is
built into the front-ends for us to start working on an atlas module. If you
create the maps, I'll be glad to help fashion them into a module with OSIS
markup.

I'm not sure what you had in mind, but I was thinking to start with
something simple. Perhaps a good place to start would be with just a handful
of maps, like those found in the back of many Bibles.
