of good things about PHP.  Sounds like a good way to do it.  Do you happen
to know if PHP can hook out to native code?

    I was planning on Perl, but as long as PHP is as flexible as Perl, I
gots no problems wit dat :)  It'd be fun to do a new language anyway.

... what features would you want in an online collaborative Bible system?
