[sword-devel] Web interface?

I haven't done much with sword, but creating a web application using it
might be just the thing to get me started. I have experience with session
management and user authentication using PHP, PHPLIB and MySQL database -
check out my pet project at www.christiandramaconnection.org. It would be
cool for a user to be able to set up a profile with their preferences,
bookmarks and perhaps a place to store search results. What would be really
cool is to make the web interface look and act like Bibletime, but maybe I'm
getting ahead of myself.

John Keiser, I didn't grab your email address from your original message.
Are you interested in working together on this? I think that the best way to
share code would be to host the project at sourceforge.net. What do you
think?

Well, it may not be especially pretty, but we have one running at
http://www.crosswire.org/sword/bible . It uses a PERL CGI that in turn
runs a command-line Linux program to fetch verses, etc. It could use a
makeover if anyone's feeling bored. :)
