I'm curious to know why you think "hast magnified" means "will protect". I
can't find anything in that verse that even seems to imply what you are saying.
I don't disagree with your conclusion; obviously God has protected his Word.
However, I don't think Psalms 138:2 could be used to defend that. By the
way, the NIV is "has exalted" which seems to say the same thing as the above
quote but still doesn't imply future protection.
