Troy,

The examples you gave seem appropiate in that they are a part of a
universally applicable set that is not simply assigning an identifier to
every element.

The two examples given are for <div> and <p> which currently have osisIDs.
Are there other cases where you would need to use an osisID that are not
<div>, <p>, or <verse>?
