I don't disagree with the fact that it is verbose. I think that a mechanism
like we have with <text work="Bible.KJV"> that allows us to say <reference
targetStart="John.1.2"/> rather than <reference
targetStart="Bible.KJV..John.1.2"/> would be helpful in this case as well.
Something like <text work="Bible.KJV" wordRefSystem="TRW"> might work
nicely. The trouble is that for it to be reliable we would need to make
wordRefSystem required or we would end up with no value in the wordRefSystem
attribute of <text>.
At this point I think we should go with the more verbose version and work on
shortening it later. It seems that our editor is off line so I'm not sure
there will be any other versions.
