Thanks for the mechanism.  I don't care the syntax.  You guys can hash 
these things out.

Just so I'm clear... You want to force the id on w to be something like:

TR:
<w id="TRW..12345">en</w>

and then the reference to be something like:
KJV:
<w sync="Bible.TR..John.1.1.TRW..12345">In</w>

This does seem to be a little verbose for each word in the text.
