[jsword-devel] JSword/BD with JavaFX WebView

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't surveyed the state of alternative HTML renders for quite a while. In looking at this, it is available for Java 6 as an extra jar, but built into Java 7.

This release will be the last on Java 5. After which we will go to Java 6 or Java 7. I'm finding problems with Java 7 on Macs (i.e. my mac). I'm frustrated by it as you can find problem reports about it via google, but when you go to the bug reported to Oracle, it has been removed. At least those that bother Bible Desktop. Anyway, I've had to downgrade from Java 7 to Java 6, which is really hard.

Anyway, enough whining.

The WebView can be embedded into Swing. Don't know about AlKitab, but I assume so. It looks quite promising. It will allow significant improvements to not only the xsl, but also allow for JavaScript.

In Him,
	DM
