Ok, now that I feel halfway comptent about java, I've got some
questions.
1. what do I need to check out program in CVS in eclipse? and how do I
get to the bibledesktop code. It didn't show up when i went in under
anonyomous access.
2.Eclipse is saying it con't find the org.crosswire imports, and of
course the associated methods. This probably something stupid on my
part.
3. Help system / screen. I thought this may be a good place to start,
since I could start writing , and documenting(more learnig!, and them
put the code into place later on. what all should be included in the
help section The other project I've been looking at is to put the
developer's name on the about screen
4. Is there any guide as to what class does what? I've managed to
figure this out be myslef, but having a guide would come in handy.
5.is there any easy to get your passwords to change you e-mail options?
Background: I have a Dual boot machine(XP Pro, Suse), I normally
downlaod my verizon mail into Evolution. all was fine and dandy until I
upgraded Suse from 9.1 to 9.2 and it broke Web Start. So i've been using
XP. Anyway, Since I may move out of Verizon's service area, i've been
trying to move everything to my gmail account.
6, Now that i've been a real PITA, did you all know that manning
(www.manning.com) has a book coming out on lucene? They have an e-book
available now. I have their eclipse book and found it to be helpful.
Sorry for taking so long. one blessing about this, besides being away
form very bad work situation, is that I'm busy. Not only am I trying to
learn all this Java stuff, is that i'm alos learning how to do income
taxes. I've reallyed enjoyed Java so far and hope that the Lord will
alow me to make a career out of it.
