just a quick note:
tried on mac OS X (10.2.1), and discovered to my great shock and horror
that apple are still only up to java 1.3.1! hence it fails your test
for v1.4+ ... oh well... shall probably look into trying to upgrade
via a non-apple source later today, but I'm not getting my hopes up...
:( so much for sun and apple having a _very_ close relationship...
and for java to be the 2nd language of choice on OS X... :(
oh, tried to compile the cvs version about a week ago, and died...
probably for the same reasons... so back to diatheke for me... :)
ybic
nic... :)
