Interesting. I am presently working to bring The Freely Project off the
'Net and into the real world. I have at least one candidate for the Board
of Directors for the first 'chapter'. Part of our mission would be to raise
funds to support development of CHADDB-Ekklesia, Ichthux, Sword, Lyricue and
other Christian programs. I have posted a call for people to participate in
an international steering committee on the Freely website.
http://www.thefreelyproject.org/node/149
The basic mission of the steering committee would be to assist people in
forming local chapters, and validating those. I am presently working on a
basic charter, job descriptions for a BOD, and all of that fun stuff. The
Freely Project website would host these kinds of materials as a sort of
template. People anywhere can start a chapter, in accordance with their own
country's laws, raise their own funds, and oversee their own operations.
However, the idea is that each chapter would look to the steering committee
for guidance when needed.
Blessings,
Don
