http://www.biblica.com Comms via the /guestbook page: -------------------------------------------------------- Hi there. I am currently writing a Bible reader for the iPhone & looking at what translations to make available on it. There are a large number of public domain texts that I already have available for download onto the iPhone for offline use & I am wondering what I need to do in order to make the NIV available for use on it? I am doing this work as a volunteer & am not charging for the application or for any modules (so far -- any modules that I can get for free I have decided that I will make available for free in my app!) & so I'm not even covering costs, but that's not the point of this endeavour. :) Could you please email me back and let me know what the next step would be? I plan on submitting my Bible reader app to Apple next week & hope to expand the number of texts available after that (as well as work on the next version with more cool features!). :) Thanks, in Him, Nic Carter. niccarter@mac.com -------------------------------------------------------- Dear Nic Carter, Thank you for completing the reply form. I don't think I was very clear, so I'll try to be clearer this time :) I am the developer of an iPhone App, called PocketSword. It has been submitted to Apple and is currently under review. :) I am wanting to be able to distribute the NIV in my app, or make it purchasable in my App. I think this is different to wanting to be able to display the NIV on a web site? Instead I want to gain distribution rights so that users can download the entire NIV onto their iPhone for use in my app (PocketSword). If I should instead be asking another person for this type of distribution rights, could you please let me know who I should be talking to? Thanks so much, in Him, Nic Carter :) --------------------------------------------------------
