- Click "Tools" --> "Books"
- Click "Download from CrossWire" tab
- Click "Update Available Books"
- Click on the folder for the category you want
- Click on the folder for the language you want
- Click on the book you want
- Click "Install"
- Click "Tools" --> "Options"
- Click "Bibles" in the left sidebar
- Use the Dropdown lists to select a default Bible, and Greek and Hebrew reference materials
There are 2 ways to achieve this:
- Click in the Show Passage area (or press ALT+W)

Type the passage you wish to see and the press return (or click Go). Bible
Desktop is quite good at working out what you want. So long as you don't use
Roman numerals it will probably get it right.
Or if you prefer to do things in a more graphical way:
- Click the "Select" button
- Click the book you want (Click "Add" to view the whole book)
- Click the chapter(s) you want (Click "Add" to view the whole chapter)
- Click the verse(s) you want
- Click "Add"
- Click "OK"
- Enter your search term in the Search area

Optionally you can set search restrictions (i.e., to search for a word in the
New Testament, set this to "Mat-Rev".)
- Click "Go"

The found verses appear in the passage lookup area and are displayed below.
You can edit the passages displayed by editing the "View" text area or by
clicking on the Select button.
- Enter your search term using 'term1' ~1, 'term2' (~5 is the alternative)

- Click "Go"
- Example: Aaron ~5, Moses
- Enter as much of the verse as you know

- Click the "Save" icon (or "File" --> "Save")
- Enter a file name
- Click "Save"
- Click the "File Open" icon (or "File" --> "Open")
- Choose the file
- Click "Open"
- Highlight the text with the mouse, as normal
- Use either the Copy icon on the tool bar or [Ctrl+C]
- In the other application use the Paste icon or [Ctrl+V]
