<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I have given up hope of resurrecting
PocketSword. Nic Carter did some wonderful things, and blessed us
all with some fine Bible study software for a while. I trust he is
doing well with our Father in Heaven.</div>

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">I have made 3 attempts at resurrecting
PocketSword. The first two were foiled not just by the learning
curve of taking over someone else's code, but by some serious
blocks in the Apple App Store. Because of iCloud entitlements of
the app, we could not update the software without Nic's action,
which he didn't have the time & energy to take. While we could
fork & rename the project theoretically, the third attempt
with a new volunteer will be a restart using fresh, modern
multi-platform tools. We are still in the brain storming, design,
and study stage. Lots of ideas are on the table. The first
question is whether or not we really need a new and/or improved
FLOSS Bible study app. I think that the answer is "Yes".</div>

<div class="moz-cite-prefix">In the mean time, it pains me to say
it, but please remove PocketSword from the Crosswire software
page. For now, I heartily recommend Bishop. And I hope to have
something more cheerful to announce later.</div>
