So, in our migration process from RHEL 6 Guest to RHEL7 Host, when I got
to git, I had no idea how things were setup on the guest, and I think we
have two git system we're using on the guest...

So, without any intimate knowledge of either system currently in use, I
did some research and installed Gitlab (which we also use at work). 
Does anyone have any qualms moving forward with Gitlab?
