The problem with the mailing lists is that they have a public address and as such are heavily spammed. While spam is caught by the spam filter and doesn't get to the list (don't know how effective it is), there is a lot that is caught by the mailing lists.

Some posts that are legit are held by the mailing list.

I went through the all the mailing lists that Troy or I are admins and discarded all spam (thousands of spam) and other than 1 old legit post, let the other legit posts come through. There are a few lists that have other admins.

I hope to do this on a more frequent basis. I just got access to the ones that Troy admins.
