[server-admins] Server problem

Hi Guys,

I am not sure who receives this, but the server has apparently a problem.

I have tried to raise Troy, so far not successfully so.

The server is doing some weird things.

apache and tomcat is still up.

I can not login via smtp and imap.

local smtp seems to work as I get messages onto my spool (checked with tail)

I can login via ssh (using a key).

Several/many shell commands immediately disconnect me. (man, mail, joe,
vi and more)

Some shell commands give odd error messages - (ps aux gives a bus error,
passwd gives a weird error)

Some commands work fine (cd, ls, cat)

Karl confirmed bus errors with ps in his shell account.

I am not sure what could be going on, but I am not at all convinced this
is harmless - but it is beyond my ken.
