[server-admins] maintenance

OK, that took longer than expected.

Imaged our primary data partition (which includes /home) to a new 
physical drive.

We still have a 40GB root partition and our boot partition on the 
failing 1TB drive.

Hope this gets us through to the end of April when I plan to be back in 
Phoenix.
