It does not see a lot of activity.<br>

Yes, we are (meaning <i>I am</i>) long delayed in getting a new
release out. A good bit of development activity has occurred in
the last 6 or 8 months, but I am due to finish conditionalizing
inclusion of the editor for e.g. Debian/Ubuntu platforms that lack
gtkhtml and verifying that the Windows build is sane. I was hoping
to get a release out by Christmas, but a hurricane (I'm in south
Florida), illness, an injury requiring surgery that semi-disabled
my left arm for a while, a death in the family, and more illness
over Christmas put a serious dent in my ability and willingness to
pursue the details.<br>

If you've built Xiphos yourself from the git repo, you already
have most of what's intended for a new release.<br>
<br>
So... Yes, a release is due "soon." Huge apologies and regrets for
being slow.<br>
