Many years ago, we were about to add support for direct usage of
e-sword modules, that is, without needing conversion, just install
them appropriately and use them as-is. We were threatened legally
by Rick Meyers' people, and after demonstrating that the
then-current incarnation of e-sword's modules had no actual
password protection, Meyers went silent and released a completely
re-worked e-sword module system less than 2 months later. That's
why there exist e.g. both .bbl and .bblx modules in e-sword.<br>
