that the top of the display window is blank? Are your parallel
choices all present? If not blank, what is there?<br>

I'm wondering if you're seeing an artifact of a slightly different
version of GTK, which I mention because varying GTK releases have
irregularly done damage to our display, especially as it relates
to things like blocked strong's/morph markup. This would be a new
instance, to be sure.<br>
