4.4.0 has not yet appeared in Fedora repos. (I don't keep track of other 
distributions because I don't use them.)
Anyone wanting to install the latest for Fedora 42/43/44, RHEL 9/10, or 
Windows should find recent builds at this link

I found that building it for Linux Mint was fairly straightforward.

A couple of days ago, the update made its way through Linux Mint official
updates...
