And just to further clarify:

Revelation 1:1 says "the revelation OF Jesus Christ" - again, denoting
possession: the revelation belongs to Jesus, which He is entrusting to John
and us as well - "which God gave unto HIM (Jesus, empahsis mine), to shew
unto His servants".

God reveals His plan for the ages, as found in the scroll with seven seals,
to Jesus, who then unseals them, and shares that information with John, so
he can write it down and share it with us.

The revelation isn't just ABOUT Jesus - it's about God's plan for humanity.
And THAT plan needs to be revealed to humanity. Hence the name of the book.
