<p>Great work Karl and team!</p>
<p>Have you tried building against SWORD master head? I'd love to
know if I've ironed out the HTTP installation preferences in the
engine as we move toward a release.</p>
<p>I've updated the masterRepoList registry to include PreferHTTP(S)
directives with their http(s) locations for the repos I know
about, but that is: all repos on crosswire.org, ebible.org, and
xiphos.org (though I couldn't find an HTTPS URL so I had to
fallback to <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://ftp.xiphos.org/pub/xiphos/">http://ftp.xiphos.org/pub/xiphos/</a>)</p>
<p>These two still go directly to FTP:</p>
<p>IBT has no packages folder here:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://ibt.org.ru/ftpmirror/pub/modsword/raw/">https://ibt.org.ru/ftpmirror/pub/modsword/raw/</a></p>
<p>STEP Bible lists this in our wiki, but it doesn't answer for me:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://www.stepbible.org/pub/sword/">https://www.stepbible.org/pub/sword/</a></p>
<p>Any testing of the shiny new Xiphos 4.5.0 compiled against
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://git.crosswire.org/main/sword">https://git.crosswire.org/main/sword</a> would be greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>The screenshots look great. Great work guys!</p>

Xiphos release <a

Last release was in June. That was kind of intermediate due to
some security bugs. Turns out, there were several more lurking,
now handled by generous contributors, mostly dealing with internal
URL handling.<br>
<br>
A lot has happened since June. Notably, bookmark folder colors
have given way to bookmarked verse colorization per folder color,
including mouse-hover reveal of which bookmark(s) induced a
verse's colorization. Also, display of entire Bible books is
available in main display (only; not parallel, not dialogs) at
Prefs → Options → Display whole Bible books. Those 2 features
induced the jump straight from 4.4 → 4.5, in consideration of the
volume of display code updates they required. A bunch of display
gotchas have been repaired, such as broken checkmark images in
Prefs and Mod.Mgr. There is a modules "Favorites" category in
sidebar display. Saved parallel sets are available in Prefs. A
direct reference to Google Translate is available by
mouse-sweeping some Heb/Grk text and using the context menu
option. AndBible bookmarks can be imported. Verse list multi-sets
can be optionally selected via a popup menu. Multi-column display
has been expanded to 8 due to recent experience with large
monitors. Margin justification defaults on.<br>
<br>
A couple screenshots of bookmark colorization + user annotation
highlight can be seen <a
href="http://ftp.xiphos.org/sword/pub/xiphos/binaries/images/"
moz-do-not-send="true">here</a>.<br>
<br>
The Windows build is internal to the release process, already
present at the release page. As well, there are initial builds for
Fedora 42/43/44, RHEL 9/10, and Ubuntu (via alien(1)) available at
<a href="http://ftp.xiphos.org/sword/pub/xiphos/binaries/"
moz-do-not-send="true">this link</a> but pumpkin holders by
distro should get up to speed in due time.<br>
<br>
The issues list is down to a bare dozen, from a high of over 100
this time last year. Half of what remain are wish list items
without a clear path forward.<br>
<br>
Huge thanx particularly to Cyrille for his many contributions.<br>
