Hello,<br>
I red the page right now. Is the problem the upper case? If this is
the problem, you have much more problems, because I'm not sure in pt
fr it lt and my it's in upper case... :(<br>
The attached file contains the new file with the upper case name in
the Book Abbrevs section.<br>
I just add the deutero missing and correct Lam, all the rest of the
file was the original sl file.<br>

<p>Unfortunately, your attached locale is not acceptable. Please
ask for help to learn how SWORD locales work. Maybe David or

Right. We need someone willing to spend time in the problem
locale files. Bishop gets all its display information from
SWORD for Bible book names and preferred abbreviations, and
those all come from SWORD's locale files.<br>
<br>
I used to push back on locale file which, from a first glance
didn't look well developed, but I have given up pushing back
and have been committing as these keep getting sent to me. My
reasoning is that the language much be important enough to the
repeating submitter and thus if/when it doesn't work well,
they hopefully will be motivated to fix the problem.<br>
<br>
I would think someone else who understands SWORD locale files
could fix the issues, even without language fluency.<br>
<br>
If you or anyone else feels compelled to track down the
deficiencies in the locale files and correct them, I am happy
to apply any patches.<br>

Thank you, Marjan. It sounds like we have some
issues with our Slovenian locale. You could help
us, if you have time. I would love a native
speaker to have a look.<br>
<br>
The SWORD locale is located here:<br>
<br>
<a
href="http://crosswire.org/svn/sword/trunk/locales.d/sl-utf8.conf"
moz-do-not-send="true">http://crosswire.org/svn/sword/trunk/locales.d/sl-utf8.conf</a><br>
<br>
You'll find 2 sections which are important.
First, the [Book Abbrevs] section gives
definitions to our parser. These should be in
uppercase. Next, the [Pref Abbrevs] section
which define what the user would like to see as
the preferred abbreviation and what is shown in
the select box in Bishop should look the way
user expects, in mixed case. Finally each Pref
Abbrev needs to have an entry in the Book
Abbrevs which it would match without concerning
case, and the match needs to only be initial
part, e.g. a Pref Abbrev of "1 Jo" will match a
Book Abbrev of "1 JOHN" so it would not be
necessary to also add a "1 JO".<br>
<br>
My guess is that the books which send you to
Revelation don't have entries in [Book Abbrevs]
which allow our parser to understand the
preferred abbreviation.<br>
<br>
If you'd like to have a look and let us know any
changes you think we should make anywhere in the
locale file, we would appreciate the help as
also I am sure other Slovenian speakers.<br>
<br>
Also, the Bishop UI locales and template are
located here:<br>
<br>
<a
href="https://git.crosswire.org/main/bishop/tree/master/www/bundledResources/uilocales.d"
