<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:garamond,serif;font-size:large">The biggest problem here is that sword update to 1.8 missed the ubuntu 18 LTS feature freeze, so it will be 2020 before sword 1.8 is fully supported in the bulk of linux installations without special management, and 2022 before Ubuntu 18 support for Sword 1.7 is officially ended. (SIL/Wycliffe provides a version of Ubuntu (Wasta Linux) for Bible translation in the field.. this is a real ongoing issue on other mail lists.) <br><br>So to allow users to see the works with new versifications at all... it is advised to NOT lockout works with unmanaged versifications. Right now this is an unsolved problem - there is an existing engine<br>
enhancement request that the install manager does stop the listing of<br>
modules which require a higher engine version than installed. <br>
