<p dir="ltr">I was speaking more generally I have an xml bsp format which is not osis and need to choose to convert to one of two forms of osis. It's much simpler to match tag for tag than to have to work out matching tags. So nice to have the option. </p>
<p dir="ltr">I'm assuming there will be fewer issues converting from one form of bsp to another than from bsp to bcp. And therefore fewer mistakes.</p>
<p dir="ltr">(Btw I'm pretty sure people discourage the use of mod2osis)</p>

I have a different XML format which seems to match more closely the BSP paradigm. Unless I'm mistaken it's quite hard using an XSLT to transform from BSP to BCP (although the reverse feels instinctively easier).<br>
