Dear Br Cyrille,
Thank you very much for your reply. You are the first and only person who has replied so far, and I truly appreciate your time and attention.

I would be very glad if this Romanian Orthodox Bible could eventually make it into the CrossWire repositories. Afterwards I could clarify the Orthodox Bibles in other languages (like Greek, English, German).

Regarding the rights question: I do not currently have explicit written permission from the rights holder (if any), and I do not want to claim public domain status without being able to document it properly.

The text I used is not the Bartolomeu Anania version, released ca. 10 years ago. It is taken from bibliaortodoxa.ro, a Romanian Orthodox Bible text that has been publicly available online for many years. The website states that its text is derived from the Romanian Orthodox Bible printed under the guidance of Patriarch Teoctist and with the approval of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church. It also says that the text was originally OCR-scanned, published in HTML, parsed programmatically, and later corrected using the 1994 edition printed by the Romanian Interconfessional Bible Society, which reproduces the 1982 edition.

So my current understanding is that this is an older Romanian Orthodox synodal text, not the newer Bartolomeu Anania edition. However, I agree that this does not by itself prove that it is public domain or freely redistributable. I will investigate this more carefully and try to identify whom to contact for confirmation or permission, possibly the Romanian Patriarchate / Biblical and Mission Institute Publishing House, and perhaps also the Romanian Interconfessional Bible Society.

How do you purpose to go until this is clarified?

Regarding PrAzar: thank you for the clarification. In the Romanian source, “Cântarea celor trei tineri” ("Song of the Three Holy Youths") appears as a separate section/book, which is why I initially encoded it as PrAzar. From an Orthodox biblical perspective, the text is certainly present, but I understand that in SWORD’s Orthodox versification it may not be expected as a separate book.

If the correct SWORD/OSIS approach is to integrate it into Daniel, I am open to doing that. Could you please advise what representation would be preferred for CrossWire? For example, should it be encoded as part of Daniel 3, or is there another recommended OSIS structure for the Prayer of Azariah / Song of the Three Holy Youths in this case?

The same may apply to Susanna and Bel and the Dragon, depending on how the Orthodox versification expects Daniel additions to be represented.

My goal at this stage is to make the module technically correct and faithful to the Romanian Orthodox edition, while also respecting CrossWire’s module standards and copyright requirements.

Thank you again for your help.
