Dear Colleagues,
I guess the Greek Bible modules are written in modern Greek instead of
Koine Greek. At least, the StatResGNT module I maintain uses the modern
word variants of the upstream sources. (It would be possible to create
another module with the Koine Greek wordings.) I think the same is true for
the LXX module. Can someone please confirm this?

The LXX module is in koine Greek.
The  StatResGNT cond module mentions: Lang=grc

That is the code for ancient greek, it should be 'el' to denote modern greek.

Given that the purpose of the StatResGNT module is to get the most
statistically probable original text, why would it use modern Greek ?

Do you have an example where the module uses a modern Greek and not
koine one ? I think it would make sense to use koine as much as
possible.

You are completely right. I will fix this in a new release of the module
(StatResGNT).

Yes, e.g. in Matthew 24:21, ??????? should be written according to Koine
Greek but the module uses ?????? (modern Greek),

This is easy to fix in the module in general. I will do that soon.

But now I have a question. In the LXX module, Daniel 12:1 (which is
referred to in Matthew 24:21) contains the word ???????. Is this not modern
Greek? I am unsure.

Hello.

I can not tell whether ??????? is modern or koine Greek, but it
appears in the paper edition "Septuaginta, a reader's edition" from
Gregory R. Lanier and William A.Ross too, so I guess it is correct.

Greetings from sunny Maui!

My experiment totally hosting 24 web sites at my house using my new fiber optic Internet connection was a bit of a learning experience. It turns out that my fiber optic service from Hawaiian Telcom is very reliable outbound, but only about 90 to 95% reliable inbound. I'm still hosting the eBible.org web site at home, but using the free Cloudflare CDN service connected via an outbound tunnel. That seems to be much more stable. It only works for http and https, though. For now, ftp.eBible.org is served from a 
totally different (and slower) server. That means that even though connecting to the ftp repository at eBible.org actually worked for a long time, it now does not. FTP connections must go to ftp.eBible.org, and https connections must go to eBible.org. That should match the master repository listing. If it doesn't, please make it so. As I keep saying, the main eBible.org repository has much better bandwidth and can sustain many more connections than the ftp repository. I'm still supporting the ftp repository 
for now, but all new and updated Sword apps should definitely use https://eBible.org/sword/ instead.
