Relicensing to GPLv2+ or GPLv3+ or LGPL seems like a good idea

However, relicensing libsword would in theory require all contributions
to be relicensed, so unless every contributor agrees relicensing to an
incompatible license is not legally possible.

Are there just a handful of contributors to sword?  Or do contributors
to libsword assign their copyright to the crosswire foundation?
Otherwise relicensing (sadly) seems infeasible to me
