It may be of interest to some that In any region the local sign language
probably has a different grammar than the spoken language(s). Different
sign language dialects may exist in a region with only one spoken
language. Different English speaking countries have different sign
languages even more than one in some countries. American Sign Language
(ASL) grammar is unrelated to that of English.

The following examples from:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Sign_Language_grammar
may be enlightening.

'/My hair is wet/ is signed 'my hair wet'

'/my name is Pete may be signed/ '[name my]TOPIC P-E-T-E'

//'/my cat was chased by the dog'./ may be signed '/[MY CAT]^tm DOG CHASE//'
/
English: I don't have any dogs.
ASL: DOG I HAVE NONE/

English: I don't like to play tennis.
ASL: TENNIS I LIKE PLAY NOT

What did Juan buy yesterday?
//JUAN BUY YESTERDAY "WHAT"
/
//I love to eat pasta because I am Italian.
/PASTA I EAT ENJOY TRUE [WHY?]RHETORICAL, ITALIAN I.
