[sword-devel] GlobalOptionFilter=UTF8GreekAccents and non-Greek modules

The Tyndale House edition of the SBL GNT (module name SBLG-THE renamed to
SBLG_THE)
was normalized to NFC during build, no doubt because the TH programmers
would not be fully aware of the -N option in osis2mod.

This makes a difference, in that the GreekAccents filter doesn't do anything
that I wasn't expecting when applied to this module.

Filtering out UTF8GreekAccents is equivalent to
1. Convert module text to NFD
2. Remove the Greek diacritics as follows:

U+0300	̀	36,121	COMBINING GRAVE ACCENT
U+0301	́	52,598	COMBINING ACUTE ACCENT
U+0308	̈	237 COMBINING DIAERESIS
U+0313	̓	45,036	COMBINING COMMA ABOVE
U+0314	̔	19,046	COMBINING REVERSED COMMA ABOVE
U+0342	͂	32,415	COMBINING GREEK PERISPOMENI
U+0345	ͅ	7,499 COMBINING GREEK YPOGEGRAMMENI
U+1FBD	᾽	1,221 GREEK KORONIS
U+1FBF	᾿	3 GREEK PSILI

Unlike the module SBLGNT, the filter did not replace one accent by another,
as there were simply no
U+02BC ʼ MODIFIER LETTER APOSTROPHE
in the accented file at all.

NB. In my previous email message, I believe I had two lines swapped in my
description of how the SBLGNT module fared. It can be a bit confusing at
times. Apologies!

Best regards,

David
