My point in asking is that their mere presence duplicates these modules,
creating what amounts to uncertainty and competition where none should
exist.  Is not Crosswire itself the source of these modules?

That you have named one of them peculiarly (Crosswire's KJV_*A*_ is
essentially eBible's KJV_*D*_) adds to the confusion.
