A big thanks for both responses....
- to David Troidl for explaining how this affected the MapM project.
- to DM Smith for drawing our attention to the SBL Hebrew User Manual.
This detail is hugely significant and sheds considerable light on the topic
of this thread.
As regards these three Hebrew OT modules,
mapm.conf , wlc.conf & oshb.conf each contain Font=Ezra SIL
i.e. None of these modules default to using the SBL Hebrew font.
How Ezra SIL displays certain glyphs compared to SBL Hebrew is certainly
worth researching further.
Whether such differences also depend to some extent on the platform under
various front-ends is also something to think about.
